However did you know that cat treats do not always have to be a food item?<br /><br />Cats, like people need more than just dietary and nutritional supplement, they also need motor and neural stimulation. You can offer your cat treats of toys, games and even special gifts as a reward instead of just food.<br /><br />The next time your love does something and deserves a reward, consider a cat treat of a more lasting nature. Something like a new catnip toy, a plushy mouse or even a new blanket in her bed.<br /><br />Another great idea is to stimulate your cat with ribbon. Gather up and tie a knot on one end of a long piece of colorful ribbon and tape this to the edge of a stick, then play with your kitty using this and you will be amazed at how she will try to get that ribbon off of you.<br /><br />This extra stimulation is good to keep kitty's reflexes and reactions sharp and encourages additional neuromuscular activity.
